Deziree’s Story
The day Deziree Bautista was born the nurses wept in despair, for they knew they would never see a child like this again. Years ago she discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. She manages time efficiently baking thirty-minute cookies in twenty minutes.
Chris’ Story
The year is 1988 on the 18th day of October, a woman, screaming in agony as she pushes while laying in a hospital bed of Valley Presbyterian. One final push and a newborn’s cry is audible through out the halls of the hospital. With tears of joy through out the room, a baby is born, a gift, a young king. A king named Christopher Patiag.
Our Relationship
We first met in high school and dated for about a week. After Deziree moved back from college, Chris swooned her over with one line:
“Hey if you’re not doing anything, and I’m not doing anything; Let’s do nothing together” - Chris Patiag.
A few years later, we both started a new life in the Bay Area, purchased a home together and now we’re married!
“Love isn’t always perfect. It isn’t a fairytale or a storybook. And it doesn’t always come easy. Love is overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting go. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define, and impossible to live without. Love is work, but most of all, Love is realizing that every hour, every minute, and every second was worth it because you did it together.”
